First Cereal Experience

So we tried rice cereal last night - Ethan didn't want any part of that! He made lots of faces and kept spitting it out. He didn't quite know what to do or how to swallow it. Oh well - we'll try again this evening. At least we got some cute pictures!

Father's Day Weekend

We had a great weekend - we decided to take a little vacation with some friends (Matt and Steph and Page and Reagan) to the Frio River. It was our first time away from Ethan but we had lots of fun and Nonnie and Pop got to watch him. They had a blast!

The river was really low but we found lots of nice swimming holes where we could float. We went to Garner State Park on Saturday and grilled hamburgers that night. It was a really relaxing weekend and so great to get away from this horrible Houston heat. I will post some pics soon.

I got Jake a new lens for our camera and a picture frame filled with pics of our family for his NEW office at his NEW job- more to post on that later. Here are some pics I took on his Big Day. The reason Ethan looks so scared is because his cousin Casey was trying to make him laugh by showing him her Cookie Monster - but soon after I took these pictures he started screaming because he was so scared of him - no more Cookie Monster for a while...

Happy Father's Day Jake!!! We love you so much.

I'm Three Months Old!

Hi Everyone,
My Mommy said I should update the blog with some new pictures and tell a little bit about myself these days.

Hmmm, well yesterday I went to the doctor for another round of shots - I'm not gonna lie; I cried a little. And I was pretty fussy for the rest of the day. But my doctor said I am a healthy little guy and I weigh 13 pounds, 10 ounces (50th percentile) and I am 25 inches long (75th percentile).

Next month I can try some rice cereal and I think Mommy is excited about that. Maybe that will help me sleep past 6 am!! I can roll over from my tummy to my back but the only people that have seen me do it are Mommy and Daddy - I save all my best tricks for them.
Here are a few recent pictures.

Until next time, Ethan

Here I am taking a little nap.

Summertime...

YAY - I'm so glad it's summer! I survived this school year and I'm looking forward to spending more time at home with Ethan before next year starts.

Here are a few pictures from the weekend. Ethan got in the pool for the first time and loved it - he was kicking his little legs and laughing!

Ava and Ethan taking a nap together - so sweet!

He loved the pool!

Weekend Update

Don't I look handsome in my overalls?

Mommy's friends Steph and Page came to pay me a visit

I love my exersaucer!

I love to smile for the camera!

WHAT'S UP??

Not much new is going on around here. Jake has Daddy Duty while I've been at work and there's only 5 more days until summer!! Ethan is doing really well - he's a pretty happy baby most of the time. We put together his exersaucer over the weekend and he seems to like it a lot - his feet don't touch the bottom yet but they will soon enough! :)

Baby Ava - isn't she beautiful?!

We had a busy few days! First of all, our neice, Ava Marie Gobar, was born on Saturday!! She was 7 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 inches long. We all got to see her at the hospital - very exciting. Welcome Baby Ava!!

Jake's sister Lauren was in town from Virginia. This was the first time she got to meet Ethan - he sure did love his Aunt Lulu. We'll miss you Lauren - can't wait to see you again!

We spent a lot of time in Grandma and Grandpa's beautiful backyard eating, drinking, roasting marshmallows, and just hanging out. It was nice to have a long relaxing weekend after such a hectic first week back at work. Only 2 more weeks until summer vacation! :)
