Baby Sprinkle

My amazing third grade team threw me a baby sprinkle for Baby Mason a few weeks ago. I got lots of diapers and gift cards to Babies R Us for the stuff we still needed.

It was a baseball theme, of course and they did a GREAT job. I am really going to miss teaching with these girls next year but I know we will remain good friends. We have become so close in just 2 years; I think opening up a new school really made us rely on each other so much.

Finally, we are done! Still a few things to do, like possibly moving the rocker from Ethan's room. Not sure though, since reading books before bed is such a special time. Maybe when Mason gets older.

I used the bookshelves from my classroom since I won't be needing them for a while-they don't match but they were free! :)

Big Boy Bed!

Well, we finally made the transition! Jake got Ethan's old crib disassembled this morning and put back together in Mason's room. Thank you, Daddy!

Here's Ethan's new big boy bed!! We got some doorknob covers in case he gets out in the middle of the night. We tried nap time today and it was a success! Hope tonight goes just as well too!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful 3-day weekend with our favorite little boy! We ventured to Schlitterbahn in Galveston with Kelly, Adam, and Aiden on Friday and Ethan had a BLAST! We were worried he might not be quite old enough but they had a little toddler area so we camped out there for most of the day. Jake and Adam got to do the big boy slides too. I even braved 1 ride but was afraid I might get stuck in the inner tube so I only did that once-haha!

We took my parents and in-laws to a really nice Easter Brunch in Fulshear on Sunday. Ethan had fun dying and hunting eggs. Note to self: 2 years old is not old enough to dye eggs!! Ethan was THROWING them in the cups and making the dye splash all over. Maybe next year will be better! :) He really enjoyed hunting eggs though!

33 Weeks

Here I am before work this morning-33 weeks! 7 more to go and I. Am. READY!! When I was pregnant with Ethan, I felt great the whole time, all the way up until I had him. This time around, I am so uncomfortable. My legs have started swelling and ache by about 9 am. The only thing that helps is to lie down, which I can't really do in my classroom. :( Probably adding to the problem is just keeping up with our active 2 year old! I can't take naps or relax as much this time around and carrying him is not the best idea either.

So I am definitely ready for Mason to make his debut but there's still so much to do! We have his room painted, bedding picked out, and Ethan's old dresser moved to his room. We bought Ethan a new toddler bed but have yet to make the transition. In order to get the crib out of Ethan's room and into Mason's room, we have to take it apart-so we have been procrastinating. I still need to get the bins of newborn clothes from the attic and wash them. We should probably get everything else out too (swing, carseat, bouncy seat, etc). Hopefully I will find the motivation for all of that in the next few weeks!
